Our Grandparents Day 2018
On Friday 9th of February we invited Grandparents to visit our school. The 6th Class girls and Mr McLoughlin put in a lot of work preparing the hall with pictures and posters to welcome everyone. Our Peace Proms choir entertained us all when they performed a medley of songs. After this everyone was invited to visit the various classrooms where the children displayed their art projects, poems, sang songs which they had all been very busy preparing. They talked to their Grandparents about life in the school and many children brought Grandparents on a tour. Many Grandparents are past pupils of the school and it was wonderful to hear their stories from when they were here. The girls also made a memory tree for Grandparents who would not be there on the day. It was lovely to see everyone catching up over refreshments in our hall afterwards.
SUCH A VERY HAPPY DAY!!
Many thanks to Mr McLoughlin and the 6th class girls for all the work they put into making this such a very special day for everyone. We would also like to thank Louise Berns for providing sandwiches and fabulous cakes on the day.
And a very special thank you to all the families who came along on the day to make it so memorable
