Worry Dolls
- 2019 is upon us and we decided as a class to work on addressing our problems. Obviously it is very important to talk to someone if you are feeling worried or anxious. Our problems only get worse if they are not dealt with. Another idea the children came up with was to make Worry Dolls. We learned about the history of the worry doll and where they came from. And now each child has their own Worry Doll. Worries be gone!!
Christmas Art
During this festive season we made some beautiful decorations for our Christmas Tree using lollipop sticks.
Taking the above painting as inspiration, we experimented with watercolours and created some fantastic paintings. We lightly sketched our drawing and explored colour and tone, line, shape and form. I think you'll agree the girls did an amazing job!

Sugar, Sugar everywhere!!!!
As part of their New Years Resolutions, the girls decided healthy eating and exercise are a must.
In SESE we investigated sugar;
- how it effects the body
- how to read nutritional labels
- sugar content of our favourite foods
- healthy alternatives to our favourite sugary drinks and treats
- RDA of sugar for adults and children
We were SHOCKED to learn the sugar content of a 500ml bottle of coke or a 160g pack of haribos!!!
